McDonough, GA: The Heritage Writers Group, now in its sixteenth year, is pleased to announce that Sharon Davidson has been elected to serve a fifth term as President for 2019. Carolyn Haldeman will serve as Secretary/Media Liaison. Eunice L. Sykes will represent the group with the Henry Arts Alliance. PJ Renfroe will serve as Treasurer. The Heritage Writers Group, (acronym THWG) is a non–profit organization dedicated to “encouraging the art of writing through sharing knowledge, experience, and motivation”. THWG meets the 2nd and 4th Sunday each month at the McDonough Library from 2-4 p.m. Over the past 16 years, members have published over 50 books covering several different genres, including two anthologies and two magazines containing work by over 20 authors. THWG welcomes new members. Check our Website at Heritagewritersga.weebly.com. Those attending should bring three pages of original writing double spaced to the meeting to read (6-10 copies to share). There are some restrictions on subject matter, check our by-laws for those restrictions.
